What we collect

When you create an account, we store your display name (a nickname is fine), email address and a securely hashed password. Signed-in practice stores your course choice, written answers, working, hints used, bookmarks, attempt times and self-marks in your account. We also keep a daily AI-request count and, for subscribers, the plan and billing period.

Guest practice is temporary in this tab. A small preference cookie remembers your course and exam year; it does not contain answers. Old browser-saved progress is read or imported only when you explicitly choose the migration controls. We never automatically delete the old copy.

Card details are handled entirely by Stripe. ScotSpark never sees or stores your full card number.

How we use it

To sign you in, provide the AI tutor, apply plan limits, and manage your subscription. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Your tutor messages and selected question context are sent to an external AI provider to generate a reply. ScotSpark stores a daily request count, not conversation transcripts in its application database. Provider-side processing and retention are separate and have not been independently audited here. Do not send your full name, school, address, contact details, health information or passwords. You can use the written hints without AI.

Children

ScotSpark is intended for Scottish secondary revision. Ask a parent, carer or teacher if you are unsure about creating an account or sending a message. Do not share someone else’s work or personal information. A formal child-data protection and legal review is still required; this page is not a claim of certified compliance.

Your rights

Open Account → Your data to export or delete saved practice. Account → Delete account provides password-confirmed self-service deletion; any renewable subscription must be dealt with through Manage billing first. Stripe may retain payment records separately for legal reasons. Export or delete an old browser copy on the device where it was saved; deleting account progress does not erase that separate copy.

A monitored human support and privacy-request contact is not configured. That limitation is shown on Help, and new purchases remain paused. We cannot promise a human response through a contact route that does not exist.
